I need 1 RB and a flex this week. TE's get .5 ppr, RB's get no ppr.
Beanie Wells @ WAS Mike Tolbert @ NE Jermichael Finley @ CAR
Washington shutdown the Giants ground game, so that concerns me a bit. How good is Carolina's rush defense this year? These are the questions I have going into week 2 with Beanie. As for Tolbert, Reggie Bush put up 56 receiving yards and a receiving TD on NE, while Tolbert had similar receiving stats plus a second TD through the air in week 1. However, Tolbert splits time with Matthews and Beanie is a featured back.
And the 0.5 PPR makes the second choice tough between Finley and Tolbert/Wells.
Also consider that Wells accounted for 42% of the offensive workload (touches and targets) for Arizona, while Tolbert workload was 28%. I'm still tempted to play the matchup...
Who's your other TE if you are trying to decide on Finley as a flex? I'd definitely start Tolbert and would probably start all 3 of these guys and bench whoever you have starting at TE right now. NYG was behind and had to pass more to get back into the game, so I wouldn't worry much about WAS stopping the run. I also don't think CAR is gonna have a good rush defense.

Heh, you stumbled upon an interesting rule in our league. My TE1 is Gates...yep. We start 2 RBs, 1 RB/WR/TE flex, and 2 WR/TE slots. When Mike Wallace has a buy week, I may actually start 3 TEs (putting in a WW claim for Hernandez). The fact that they get 0.5 PPR makes a decent TE a better play than most WR3s. Put another way, Gates is basically my WR2.

Hah, I should have figured you had Gates. I'd start both of your TE's then and also Tolbert.
Well I would definetly go with Finely at the flex spot because of the rule favoring TE's at the flex. I think that Wells would be considered the "safer" play as he will definetly rack up some yards against the Redskins. However, I think that I would rather start Tolbert over Wells because of the nice TD opportunities he will undoubtedly get, although he will have the chance for a small-output week if he fails to find the endzone.
Anyone else thinking Beanie. I'm really torn. I just keep thinking, "Feature back, playing all 3 downs." Should I really be scared of Washington's DEF based on how NYG played them?
