Drop Amendola for Meachem/L.Moore? WHIR

Postby rclement3915 » Thu Sep 15, 2011 10:31 am

My WR core is as listed:

Vincent Jackson
Miles Austin
Dez Bryant
Santana Moss
Danny Amendola (INJ)

Currently, Robert Meachem and Lance Moore are available. Should i cut ties with Amendola and pick one of these guys up?
Or should i hold onto Amendola for the long haul and just stand pat?? this move would be for long term depth, not just this week.
1 PPR, 6pt TD , 1 15 YDS REC

also should i drop NYG DEF/ST and pickup the Houston DEF/ST?

thanks...leave links and ill help in return. ;-D

I would pick up Moore if not in PPR for sure. He should be back this week or next. No timetable for Danny A as far as I know.

I would keep Amendola He will be back so give him a chance. But if anything with him doesn't go as expected, I would go for Moore.

I wouldn't wast the roster spot on Amendola, dislocated elbow for a guy who needs both arms is a bad thing.

That said, short term I like Meachem more than Moore, long term I like Moore more than Meachem. Safer pickup is Moore IMO. And if he's available he won't be for long.

Neither D/ST is all that impressive, but I would probably hold onto the Giants

Keep Amendola. He'll be a fillin for you and will do exactly what you want in a fill-in--- make catches. Sure, he might not put up crazy yards, but seven or eight catches in a PPR league means decent points. You can't guarantee that out of Moore.

I'd drop Amendola for Moore. Despite Danny's enthusiasm, dislocated elbows take several weeks to heal - and WRs need their elbows. Drop him, but keep an eye on reclaiming him if his recovery proceeds well, and a week 6 return seems likely.

I have Moore over Meachem. If he's healthy, he's the PPR play. And I think he keeps his value the most (as the slot receiver) when Colston comes back. I see Meachem as more of a crap shoot on a weekly basis.

Giants defense could be a good play this week - but with all those injuries, I see them as being only spot-start worthy this season.

I have to say I like Meachem over Moore myself. Lance is hurt right now and seems like he is always getting dinged up. Amendola is really banged up. I see Meachem building real chemistry with Brees and becoming the new Colston for the saints.

I don't think I'd want any part of the Giants D except when compared to the Houston defense. I think the Miami offense is better than they are getting credit for.
