Which 2 of these beasts to start WR?

Postby JohnnnyD » Thu Sep 15, 2011 12:47 pm

My starting options for week 2:

A) Hakeem Nicks vs StL
B) Dwayne Bowe at Detroit
C) Brandon Marshall vs Hoston
D) Mike Williams at Min

I was thinking of going with Brandon Marshall up against the Texans Def and their lacking secondary. and maybe mike williams since hes a favored target? What do you guys think? Standard yahoo scoring

If Nick plays, I would go Nicks/Marshall.... If Nicks doesnt play, I would go Marshall/Williams. Before last week I would've put Bowe/Williams about equal, but in this case Id wait a week before putting Bowe back in just to be sure that last week was only a fluke and not a newly established trend.

I think starting Marshall and Williams is the safe thing to do, which I would probably do depending on who I was facing this week and who else was on my starting roster. Sometimes you need to take a high-risk/high-reward gamble sometimes though. I mean, you start Marshall against HOU for sure. I might start Bowe, if you needed to, against DET since you figure that KC will be playing from behind and take shots through the air. All in all, I think I'd go Marshall and Williams.

Nicks is a lock if he starts. Marshall v. Williams is close but I'd lean towards Marshall - definitely if you're in a PPR league, but that's obvious.
