Who starts? Gore against the Cowboys or Best vs CHiefs?

I would go with Best. Gore has a tougher matchup and a far less effective passing game on the Niners means defenders will be stacked at the line of scrimmage.

I'm in the same boat deciding between these two this week... Best seems like the risk/reward start but I hate benching Gore... I've got Gore in now but I'll probably change my mind six or seven times between now and kickoff...

The Cowboys shutdown Jets running game. The Chiefs stink. I cant justify "start your stud" no matter what. Why would you even have drafted a guy like Foster last year?

how did the passing game change from this year to last ? it didnt, and Gore still was a beast till he got hurt. Last week was an anomoly IMO. I do like Best's matchup better, but Detriot doesnt like to run in the redzone and Gore will get at least one go everytime the niners are close. I think this is close, Best may have more yards, but his scores will have to come from outside the redzone IMO.

You draft a Foster last year cuz you knew he was the starter, Slaton was stinking it up and Tate got hurt.

I'm in the same boat, so I'll be monitoring this thread. I have Felix Jones, Jahvid Best, and Frank Gore this week and have penciled to bench Gore this week.

The Dallas front seven is better than its secondary and the Niners offense are a run-first offense (thanks to Alex Smith being way too conservative in the passing game). I see no issues for Dallas selling out to stop the run this week and make Alex Smith beat them on the air attack.
Go with Best because his matchup is better, esp. in PPR leagues.

PPR Best for sure. Not PPR then its pretty close IMO. Gore will probably be the more steady guy, where Best always has the shot to break a big one.

I'm typically in the "always start your studs" camp and rarely waiver from it... Made an exception last week and started Jordy Nelson over Miles Austin, knowing the NO/GB game would be a shootout and Austin would probably be matched up with Revis... Turned out Austin still scored more points...

Like I said earlier, Best is the good risk/reward play but I think I've gotta stick to my guns and stay with Gore... Usually the "always start your studs" philosophy will work out... Hopefully it'll remain true this week...
