Another owner and myself agreed on a trade and submitted it. In our league the other teams get to object to trades and if there are five it gets vetoed. Well, it got vetoed.
I gave up:
Freeman(my starter) Mendy Beanie Mike thomas
I got:
Foster Ryan Colston
What do you guys think? I have never objected to a trade because I think if 2 teams are willing to trade thats their business. Some of the reasons were ridiculous.
Let me know your thoughts!
“You be the Magic Man, and I’ll be El Diablo.” “What’s that mean?” “I think it’s spanish for fighting chicken.”
League Vote for trade is a mess. You should remove that from your league. All trades should be put through if it helps both teams out. Only time a trade should be denied is if there is some sort of pot splitting or collusion going on
It seems relatively fair to me......but if you're in a league that's subject to a veto rule on trades, then you really have no recourse.
Whenever I've seen trades vetoed, people's reasoning for voting really doesn't matter nor can it be accurately gleened....if it was vetoed it was vetoed.
It is crap, but that's the brakes. Address it with the commissioner if you want to pursue it, but I don't think he can do anything to overturn the process if it's already been agreed to be democratic this year.
RIDERS OF THE STORM QB Vick RB Adrian Peterson, Matt Forte, Lesean McCoy WR Brandon Marshall, Kenny Britt TE ? DEF Flavor of the Week K ?
yea that is crap. trades should not be vetoed unless it is obvious the trade favors someone sooo greatly that the 2 traders were in cahoots. i think trade vetoes shouldn't go to a league vote but to the commissioner. i think that is a fair trade and i could make a case for either side.
yea it should have went through.Thats why i particularly don't care for veto trade thing because some teams get mad because your bettering your team and veto it just out of spite.
public league or private? Private - change the rule, public - get out now!
We had that awhile back our commish was trying to be too nice. Anyway one guy said I was getting too much, another said he was getting too much, yet another vetoed it because "it would make us both better." Absolutely unreal, the commish then decided all trades would go through him only, and he appointed a vice-commish for his trades.

I honestly hate league vote. In my league it's League Manager Veto. I'm LM, and I let everything through. Why? Because fair or not, both parties negotiated and wanted to do the trade for a reason. This trade seems fair to me.
