Which 5 (Every Point Counts)

Postby aerathi » Fri Sep 16, 2011 6:11 pm

So I drafted a pretty ridiculous team for a 14 team league. Normally I'd cruise control through it, but it's one of those leagues where he who has the most points at the end of the season wins and not he who wins the heads up matches, so pretty much every point counts.

With early round runs on QBs, Receivers and Tight Ends, I ended up with:

RB: Ray Rice, Darren McFadden, Ahmad Bradshaw

WR: Hakeem Nicks, Wes Welker, Steve Smith

Which of those guys should I start?

I know there's some questions in the Nicks, Bradshaw, and Smith corners - I think the other 3 are pretty much a given. Normally I wouldn't care because I'm certain I'll win this week, but like I said - in the end it's total accumulated points and with such a bare waiver wire I wanna stack the points up early.

My QB is Stafford and my backup is McCoy, I'm super weak at tight end with Olsen and Beckum so I feel I have a strong core of important spots, I'm just an injury away from doom.

Edit: It's 2 RB, 2 WR, TE, Flex of those

I suppose I should have mentioned, standard scoring - no ppr.

Definitely Bradshaw as your Flex, especially with Nicks doubtful and Smith going against the Packers. As for your second WR, I would see what they are saying about Nicks Sunday morning because I definitely wouldn't be comfortable starting Steve Smith against the Packers and expecting much results.

Well stated, I can only add one thing... Scour the Waiver wire for a bette TE option, I know Fred Davis and Ed Dickson are available in most leagues, I personally love Lance Kendricks as a sleeper TE as he reminds me so much of Dallas Clark, undersized and quick with great hands. Check for them as your 2 are pretty bad.

Thanks guys, I picked up Dickson and that does help alot. Hopefully Nicks is all good. I guess it never hurts to hear, go with the order you drafted.
