Have to love the offensive design for Carolina. Really keeping things simple for their rookie QB. Guys are wide open.

I think I was thinking Newton would be running the same stuff as Delhomme, since similar personnel. I didn't really take into account the new offense. John Fox and his crew really had no creativity in their offense at all. Doesn't bode well for Denver.

Super Cam! Stunning, sure hope he is the real deal. Football needs more quality QBs.

Beautiful TD pass by Newton. Guy has the tools. Does it even matter what he does the rest of the year? He has clearly shown what he is capable of.

I admit I was wrong on him. Fun to watch...I like the kid. At least on the field.

Cobb fumbles...that's what I think will change this 5yard deep returns. Last week we only saw the reward...not the risk.

Terrible roughing the passer call. NFL really needs to get rid of that nonsense. Cant hit him high, can't hit him low - you have to at least let them hit guys in the chest.

Newton great run for a 1st down. Then a couple perfectly placed passes. Man, he reminds me a lot of Culpepper in Minnesota.

Carolina will regret needing to settle for two FGs.

With double the IQ points? :-b

If only he had a rangy, 6-foot-3, speed-demon WR to force it to 20 times per game, it could be a match made in Heaven if your prediction about Cam comes true ;-)

Grant played the first two plays and didn't come back in unti8l they reached the redzone in the 2nd quarter. Starks played until it was 1st and 10 on the 11. Grant stayed in on the goalline, but Kuhn got the goal line carry from the fullback position (Grant lined up in the eye).

Finley 5 targets on that drive, 4 catches, and drew an interference penalty in the endzone.
