Gates/Tate for Clark/Britt WHIR

Postby Cameron10483 » Sat Sep 17, 2011 10:07 am

I would be giving Gates for the other players. The other owner has Foster and wants Tate as well. Britt would be replacing Moore in my 3 WR slot as I have Manningham and Fitzgerald as well. My only concern obviously is that Gates is gonna put up his normal 1000 yards and 10 TD's and Clark will continue to suck cause of Collins but I like the upgrade from Moore to Britt but not sure if Britt will taper off as normal. WHIR. Thanks.

I would do the trade. I think Clark will put up elite numbers this season and Britt will have a outstanding third year in the league. Tate will not get as many touches with Foster back and although Gates is the best TE in football this is good value for him. good luck!
help me please?
Thanks Franchise Fan for the sig!

I wouldn't do it, you're giving up too much.

Yes, I like Britt, but Gates is elite.

Too many question marks revolving around the Indy situation.

Once Moore gets back on the field, he'll be just fine as a WR3.

The prospects of Gates/Moore is more appealing to me than Clark/Britt.

If the Foster owner is reall this worried, counter with Moore/Tate for Britt.

Thanks for the help with mine. I don't think I'd make this deal. Tate is of little value to you unless Foster gets hurt again, so it's Gates for Clark and Britt. I think the gap between Gates and Clark the rest of the way is likely to be bigger than the gap between Britt and Moore. The way they used Clark last week was horrible - he can't block where they ask him to, and shouldn't block as often as they want him to. If they don't change that (big if), Clark is just another TE the rest of the way. That's a big gamble to take when you're trading away an elite player.

Depending on your setup, if you could start both Britt and Moore going forward, that might change my answer. Good luck!

Just read Panther's suggestion - Moore + Tate for Britt is an outstanding counteroffer. And the one thing I forgot to mention is that rule of thumb for trades - whoever got the best player in the deal probably won. That counteroffer fits the rule perfectly.

I personally would do this. I don't think Clark will be non-existent (though that is a risk), and Britt should definitely help your team.

No way i make that trade..........I do like Britt and think you can probably get him with Tate and a mid round WR. If he is a Foster owner and has a brain he would accept that offer. That way you can still keep Gate who is a huge upgrade over Clark this year.

Clark will still get his. Collins loves his TE. You have to do this Britt is a huge upgrade.
