What to give up to drop Blount and get Mendenhall

Postby jjflight » Sat Sep 17, 2011 11:28 am

I'm playing the Y! salary cap league (non-PPR, 6pt TDs) for the first time in a friends/family league, where you pick any players that fit under an overall salary cap and just going for total points in the season.

I'm considering a couple swaps to drop Blount for Mendenhall as a better RB, though would have to take a hit at either WR or DST to do it... three options I'm considering given my cap space:

Dropping Blount/Detroit to pick up Mendenhall/Jacksonville (clearly Jax sucks, just freeing cap space)
or
Dropping Blount/Roddy White to pick up Mendenhall/D.Bryant (Bryant good but a downgrade, and seems fragile)
or
Do neither and stand pat

Full team if it matters - it's quite stacked because of the salary cap format, but so is everyone else so I'm middle of the pack after week 1:

QB: P.Rivers
RB: R.Rice, L.Blount
WR: C.Johnson, R.White, V.Jackson
TE: J.Finley
K: A.Henery
DST: Detroit

I would do the mendenhall/Bryant but none of the others do much for me.

Mendy is a low end 31 back....no way do you NOT do that. Make the switch.
