Can Santana do it?

Postby BriGuy » Sun Nov 30, 2003 8:01 pm

Okay, I'm down 8 points in my match up. My opponent has no one left. I have Santana Moss. Can he give me the 9 points I need to win the game?

1 pt 20 yds rec. or rush
6 pt TD

He'll give you 7 points and then leave the game with bruised hair.

i don't get it. why ask questions like this? it's not like you can change your lineup right now anyway... and other people's opinions will certainly not change what santana will or will not do...

I agree, S. Moss is definitely good for 60 yds and a TD. I have Moss, Harrison, Moulds and J. Smith on my team and Moss gets the most pts. every week.

He just wants to see how good he should be feeling right now... but yea...honestly, we dunno anymore than you do about how well he'll perform tonight. It's anyones guess...we really dunno how to answer these questions

So then what is this board for? It's the fantasy football talk forum. It's not like he posted it on the "who to start, who to bench" forum.

Moss has been in the endzone 7 games in a row and there is no reason to believe he won't be for an 8th straight time. But he needs to get more than the 13 yards he got last week. I'm going to predict 110 yards and a score but we'll see what happens.

there are plenty of ff topics that do not require prognostication but rather exchange of information and experiences... I mean... I can probably write a piece of code that would give a random prediction of santana moss' production based on previous performance... but that's not really talk -- just fortune-telling...

good ff topics... (not limited to these, but you get the point)
who got hurt?
who is subbing in?
who lost their starter job?
who is going to get more touches?
who will no longer return kicks/punts?
who will split carries?
who the favorite target of a QB is?
etc.

what's better 2QB or 1QB fantasy league?
are TE worth a separate position space?
should return yardage count?
how many keepers is good for a keeper league?
when should commissioners veto trades?
someone just dumped all their players, what do I do?
etc.

again... just throwing these out as an example... For some inexplicable reason I find it quite annoying when people brag indirectly, like our friend above -- "hey everyone! look at me! I am going to win this week, and you'll all agree with me by telling me that moss will get more than 8 points!!!!"

sorry for the rant.

At the risk of answering his question, I'll offer this- Moss will be
covered by Rolle, a near shut down cb who thrives in prime time.
He may get your points, but it will not be easy.

maybe moss is due for a punt return td, cause i dont think he's done that all year, of course if yer league doesnt reward those points then never mind.

This is stirring everyone up...
Let me just rephrase the original question.

Do you think Santana Moss will have a good game tommorrow night?
