Beanie for Nicks? Desperate!! WHIR

Postby Red Winger » Sun Sep 18, 2011 8:33 pm

Standard, scoring, no PPR. Start 2 RB, 3 WR (no Flex). keeper league.

I am in desperate RB need. These are my RBs :Foster, Reggie Bush, Ingram, Grant, Lynch
These are my WRs: Miles Austin, Hakeem Nicks, Mike Williams (TB), Jordy Nelson, Robert Meacham

* Keeper note - according to our rules, Wells can be kept 2 more times, Nicks only one.

I agree, but I have WR depth, but no starting quality RBs. I might have to oversell

I'd be careful using your 'WR depth' right now. Austin came up lame with his hammy, again, and rumors are starting to swirl that he may miss some action. If that happens RBs will be the least of your worries, cuz if you rid of Nicks you are looking HAVING to start Williams, Nelson and Meacham, YUCK!

Williams is a solid, solid start at the WR3 slot (even after todays total absence), but Nelson and Meacham are strictly backups at this point. If you have to depend on those two to carry your squad your going to do more harm then good at this point.

First off that trade isn't even close to being a good value swap, given your lineup, and second if worst comes to worst it wouldn't be that bad to have to start Grant RB1 and rotate Lynch/Bush RB2 until Foster is back to 100%. Selling out for Beanie now will peg you for a short season trying to roll with those 3 if Miles is out for any period of time.

A big thanks to deluxe_247 for the sweet sig!

Im on the beanie bus, but as others advised don't do it. Unless maybe he added in another solid wideout.

I understand that ur back is against the wall and would probably do the same thing myself. But before accepting that offer I would shop Hick for someone a little better, maybe try for Turner or Forte.
