Trading Phillip Rivers

Postby wags87 » Mon Sep 19, 2011 2:32 pm

I just lost Charles for the season, and someone in my league inquired about Rivers. He's offering me:
Schaub/Steve Smith (Carolina WR to be clear) OR (I may be able to push to) Schaub/ Fred Jackson.

I like what I've seen from S Smith so far, obviously- but can he keep it up? I'd move M Lynch to RB2 and Flex Steve Smith if I made the trade.

Happy to respond if you have questions as well. Thanks.

My roster:
QB- P Rivers
RB- J Charles (out, probably for season)
RB- Frank Gore
WR- Jeremy Maclin
WR- Santana Moss
RB/WR- Marshawn Lynch
TE- Jason Witten
K-Neil Rackers
D- Ravens

BN-CJ Spiller, Roy Williams, Kendall Hunter, Jacoby Ford, Jason Snelling, Derrick Ward, Andre Roberts.

BUMP due to new development.

Offer is now Schaub and A. Bradshaw for Rivers.

I'm considering countering with Schaub/Steve Smith (CAR) for Rivers.

WHIR Thanks.

If I were you, I would take Bradshaw and Schaub for Rivers. I'm not even close to a Bradshaw fan, but I think with your RB situation you would have to take it. I would not be comfortable with Lynch as my RB2 in a league that (basically) starts 3 RBs.
