Trade Freeman/J.Jones/Meacham for Fitz/Evans/Doucett?

Postby Kngbanana » Mon Sep 19, 2011 3:55 pm

I'd like to know what you all think about this trade. I waited to draft a QB and now I'm feeling it. Last 2 weeks my QB position killed me (as well as my DEF) so I'm 0-2. I was offered Fitz/Doucett for Julio Jone/Meacham and shot that one down immediately. He sent another offer for the following:

I give him:
Josh Freeman
Julio Jones
Robert Meacham

I receive:
Ryan Fitzpatrick
Lee Evans
Early Doucett

My plan is to push this trade through so I drop Doucett and can pick up Eric Decker (DEN) or Denarius Moore (OAK) on waivers. I'm #2 in waiver order.

Bad idea? Let me know guys. Thanks in advance.

My team (10 team league):

QB: Roethlisberger, Freeman

RB: A.Foster, L.Blount, D.Will, B.Jacobs, M.Bush, B.Tate

WR: R.White, B.Marshall, J.Maclin, J.Jones, R.Meacham

TE:J.Graham

D:SD

Don't know how this trade is any better.

Evans and Doucet arent going to be big players in fantasy.

Well my plan is to upgrade at QB (Fitz is an upgrade right?) then drop Doucett and pick up Moore or Decker and hope they blow up. I know its a gamble as its only week 2, but I dont know that I'm going to start Jones or Meacham over any of my other WRs. Rather than have them warm my bench I figure I might as well pick up a better QB. The other option is to just drop Freeman for one of the QBs on waivers. The best available (in order) are Campbell, Hasselbeck, Grossman, & McCoy. That or ride it out with Freeman/Big Ben for the rest of the season. Not sure I'm too hip on that idea.
