Need some RB help...WHIR

Postby Stevooo » Mon Sep 19, 2011 7:41 pm

Im in a 12 team non ppr league. My RBs are McCoy, SJax, Caddy and LT. Im going to be hurting really bad on PHI and STL bye weeks because LT will be my fill in if I dont grab another. The top WW RBs are:
Derrick Ward - will he even get touches with Tate?
Dexter McCluster - terrible KC offense makes me nervious
Deji Karim - gets 10ish touches each week wont see more unless MJD goes down
Bradon Jacobs - goalline carries?
Delone Carter - gets 10-15 touches on a terrible IND offense

Thinking about dumping LT and grabbing Carter and Karim (I have one open spot atm) because they seem to have the most upside and hopefully by the bye weeks they will be starting or gabbing more carries.

I really dont have any players for trade bait unless Gates actually gets balls throw his way at or Bowe has a breakout week or two. So trading is out of the question unless I wanna bail on McCoy. Thanks for the help and replies!
I drink because of the 1998 NFC championship game.

I'd have to say Jacobs. He's the best backup out of the bunch.

Carter won't put up sufficient points each week to be viable and McCluster's role is yet to be defined.

I'd roll with whoever is available that week and keep your roster intact until then.

If you need immediate help, picking up Jacobs is a no brainer, as he'll always get 10 touches a game with a chance for a TD.

But if you're willing to bank on potential, I really like Karim and McCluster. Karim had alot of touches week one, and will have a domination on the Jags back field if MJD misses anytime. That doesn't mean he'll instantly be a superstar (it's the Jags), but he should be a decent FLEX play.

As for McCluster, is there any doubt he'll get 1,000 total yards this season? He already has 93 yards rushing on only 12 attempts (in two games where his team was smoked, no less), and won't go for negative receiving yards like he did against Detroit.

Other than Bowe, he's by far KC's best weapon. As a FLEX play, he should be good for 70 total yards a week with the odd touchdown. Of all the players listed, he's the only one with the upside to become a fantasy stud this year, as unlikely as it may be.

McCluster and Jacobs. If you have a backup TE/K/D cut them loose for Karim.
Non PPR Jacobs value goes up.
