Straight Up Trade Gore?!?! WHIR

Well, obviously with the Jamal Charles IR, the trade offers are starting to come in. As you can see in my roster below I played the stock up on RBs and TEs draft strategy. I knew that would leave me some what vulnerable at WR. Now I have the chance to get Vincent Jackson for Gore. It sounds good, but should I stick with my season objective and keep the RB's fairly well stocked or go for the Aerial Assault Weapon that is V. Jackson? Basically I'm looking for pro's and con's that I'm overlooking. Thanks in advance WHIR!

I would do it. Gore is usually an exception, but as a rule of thumb it's not good to rely on players from bad offenses. And the 49ers look ripe this year. Factor in a possible injury down the line, and there are alot of reasons not to like Gore right now.

Oh yeah...in return you're getting a guy coming off a 170 yard receiving day, a lock for 1,000 yards with an outside chance of 1,400-1,500.

I would not trade gore for vincent jackson. I know gore is having a bit of a slow start but I still have faith in that guy.

I would do it for sure, Like said before the 49ers offense not so good and even though Gore is the 49ers have to have to ball for him to run. I also seem him getting hurt somewhere down the line. I tend to like WR a little more but this is my opinion so I would take it.

Yeah, I would do it. SF offense was as bad last year but Gore came through (until injured) anyway. This year, not so much. VJax is a top receiver with a top 5 QB pitching to him. Do it all day long.

I don't know who else you have at RB, but as long as you still have plenty of depth, you definitely do that trade. Remember, VJax is still playing for a contract. There will be some games where teams will scheme against him and Tolbert or Gates will have big days, but PR likes to throw downfield and the AFC west Defenses have not been successful against the pass. I see a lot of teams stacking the box against Gore because his QB is awful. Do the deal.
