SJAX for Wayne and Thomas (WHIR)

Postby toobitter » Mon Sep 19, 2011 10:41 pm

still trying to find a viable replacement for charles.

guy just offered me steven jackson for reggie wayne and daniel thomas.

i see where he's going with the deal. he's desperate for a #2 wide and i could see thomas breaking out and having a great season once they give him the job.

honestly though, i'm thinking it's a pretty good deal. i know he's not a big fan of knowshon too, so i might be able to include him cheaply.

my roster
QB - Rivers (Orton)
RB - ????, McFadden, Bradshaw (D. Thomas, Spiller, Helu)
WR - Wayne, Maclin (Moss, Collie, Colston [no dl])
TE - Pettigrew

his
QB - Brees (Fitzpatrick)
RB - Foster, SJax, Hightower (Tomlinson, Grant, Moreno, Hardesty)
WR - VJax, Burress (Ochocinc, Knox, R. Moss)
TE - Finley

Do you have a WR/RB position so you could start McFadden, Bradshaw and Jackson? If so, I'd do this trade in a heartbeat. Even if not, I think I still like it for you. About 80% of Wayne's numbers so far have come in garbage time. I guess that could continue all year (the Colts look bad), but I personally don't like betting on players soley in garbage time.

And also if you can get by for a couple weeks with Moss you'll be able to put Colston into Waynes spot. Go for it.

Thanks for the help with mine!

D Thomas just had a nice game and they play my beloved Browns this week, unfortunately I think he can do okay. I know people are down on Indy but they are going to be throwing a lot being down. I would want to wait on D Thomas another week and make sure it wasn't a fluke before getting rid of him.

Please help me.

Ha, I have all of these players on my team. RW and DT are still question marks, while SJax is a pretty safe bet. As long as you can make WR work for you, I'd do it.

Mine please? http://www.fantasyfootballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=497832

i think tis a prtty even deal

i dont like how the colts look and its goignt o go downhill. like rpevious poster said wayne got points in garbage time. thomas might get the job but if theres viable competition it wotn be safe

its jacksons job to lose but he has to stay healthy and cadillac might get more snap.

i think its safer to say jackson will get snaps and consistent points but hes an injury risk

also i like mos a lot more than wayne so you can slot him immediately in WR

i see this as more of a depth move
please help with my team, WHIR
