From Good to Great?

Postby psgetrplyr » Mon Sep 19, 2011 11:23 pm

The season thus far has gone well for me. I'm one of two 2-0 teams in my league, but I'm looking to see what one or two moves I maybe could or should make to turn this team into a real championship favorite. What are your thoughts on my roster? What's expendable for trade fodder for some of my weaknesses? Or should I just stand pat?

This is a standard scoring, non-PPR league. Ten teams. I'm listing my week two starters just for argument's sake.

--QB: Philip Rivers
--RB: Adrian Peterson
--RB: Ben Tate
--WR: Greg Jennings
--WR: Kenny Britt
--Flex: Mike Sims-Walker
--TE: Jason Witten
--K: Sebastian Janikowski
--D/ST: Baltimore Ravens

Bench for Week 2:

--QB: Mark Sanchez
--RB: Knowshon Moreno
--RB: Mark Ingram
--WR: Dez Bryant
--WR: Sidney Rice
--TE: Dustin Keller
--D/ST: currently have Chargers, but considering picking up another off waivers for a better match-up combo with the Ravens D (perhaps the Cardinals or Giants, which are both available)

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Solid at QB no need to do anything. You are decent at RB but having a definite # 2 vs 3 possible #2's could help your decision making. Your first 2 WR's are and even Dez at #3. Rice is a bit shakey until he shows something.

TE, K, D is solid.

Id try and leverage Tate after this weekend when Foster misses another game and upgrade that #2 RB or #2 WR

I'd probably have to give up Tate and something else to get a better No. 2 ... what might you recommend? And who should I be looking at? I really think I'm probably better off going after a better RB. I'm pretty comfortable with my WR corps, I think.
