Who to grab with #1 Waiver priority? (WHIR)

I'm in a 12 team dynasty salary cap league and just lost Jamaal Charles for the year. The silver lining I guess is that I now have a ton of cap space since I'm moving Charles ($31) to the IR.

The Waiver order resets every week based on power rankings so it would be foolish not to use it. I'm thinking of just grabbing Freeman and then try to deal a QB at some point... Here's who is available.

Not seeing your lineup makes it tough to answer. Freeman is a solid choice if you are average or weak at QB. All three of the RB's carry good value Jones being the best.

Henderson looks like a great option to grab and trade high (NOW) and obviously Tony G carries a little value (trade value) right now but Fred Davis is looking real good!!

You are going to need to really study lineups and throw out possible offers to get the best out of your situation. Just grabbing the best guy is not quite enough. You almost need to have a deal in place before making your pick. See if you can include one of these FA's into a trade.

If you don't have a deal in place I'd probably go Freeman, Henderson, then .

Is there a roster spot limit? Or just a cap limit? I think FItzpatrick and Davis are the 2 guys I like. . . . a lot. I would grab them no matter what. I'm not excited about TJones with that horrendous offense, but for $1 it's probably worht a "just in case" pickup. Not exactly sure who the guy is going to be in KC, or whether it will even matter.

Goodbye: Greg Little and Marshawn Lynch hello Thomas Jones (a 1 dollar starter, solid #2 back for a few weeks at least) and Devery Henderson (solid temp WR depth tradable for uprade). I'd consider Garcon for McCluster as well. I am not enthused with any Indy target other than a proven Wayne or Clark. You don't want any part of anyone else. How much is Bradford by the way? It would also help yo see the prices of your players.

OK. I edited the original post to include the prices of my current players. We get to keep as many players as we want... but if their values increase next season, we get to split the difference rounded down.. eg. if Newtown is $10 at the start of next season, I get to keep him for $5.

I don't have to worry about cap space since I just cleared a third of my money out by placing Charles on IR.

I guess I would go Freeman since it's a dynasty league and then you have 3 young QBs with tons of upside. Probably won't help you much this year, but there is a lot of potential for the future. Losing Charles is a killer, this looks like a rough year for you. I would try to work for next year.

i like fitzpatrick and davis myself. i like fitzpatrick because he has steve johnson and fred jackson and theyre not afraid to air it out. freeman has been solid but not es explosive. davis migth be good pick up in a revitalized red skins offense with rex grossman and tim hightower. tony g i am not high on because the falcons used him because the eagles are weak int eh middle and julio jones got the other corner.

not super excitedabout thomas jones or dexter mccluster because of the offense in KC. jones is old and mccluster is undersized and the chiefs have a very tough schedule. henderson looks very solid

I like Mccluster, I think he will get 15+ touches a game

Lots of short term fixes for long term issues The best long term picks, IMO, are Fitz and McCluster. McCluster is the higher risk, and Fitz is eventual trade bait (or allows you to trade one of the other two QB's). I'd go with Fitz myself, yes even over Freeman.

I'm not in a keeper or salary cap league but I also had Charles and had to replace him with something. I would dump Lynch for sure. Seattle is horrible and I don't think there going to be running the clock much this year let alone scoring. I think McCluster is a better pickup than Jones. He will probably get more touches and he is listed as a WR in our league so that might save you RB spot.
