Need help with RBs and WRs

Postby doordoor123 » Tue Sep 20, 2011 12:08 pm

RB: Im using Rashard Mendenhall as my first RB but I need a second one between these three players.

-Shonn Green: had around 3 points in the first week but 11 points rounded off this week and he will be going up against Oakland this week. (NYJ)

-Darren Sproles: had around 14 in his first game and 12 in his second. Hell be going up against Houston this week. (NO)

-Ahmad Bradshaw: Around 11 points in the first game and around 10 in the second. He's going up against the Eagles this week. (NYG)

WR: Im using Mike Wallace as my first WR but I need two more of these guys.

-Austin Miles: Got 15 his first game and 32 his second. He might be injured and not play his game this week against Washington. (DAL)

-Steve Smith: Got 29 points his first game and 13 his second. He's playing the Jaguars this week. (CAR)

-Plaxico Burress: Around 13 points his first game but didn't play much the next week at all because of an injury. Hell return this week against Oakland. (NYJ)

-Devery Henderson: 16 points in both games and hell be against Houston this week. (NO)

Who should I pick?

Hi there and welcome to the Cafe - great to see a new face 'round these parts!

Is this a PPR league? If it is, then I like Sproles as RB2. If not, then I'd roll with Bradshaw (who's a close second even in PPR). As for WR, I think it's pretty clear cut. Austin is for sure from what I've read/seen, so Smith is a lock. Plax is far too risky to start when you have someone like Henderson, who has a relatively low floor but a huge ceiling with Colston still out in NO. So, start your NFC South guys with confidence in PPR. If it's non-PPR then sub Bradshaw for Sproles ;-D

haha ty. Yeah im not sure what PPR means. But I'm guessing it is. I have mendenhall as my first RB. And I guess ill make my second Sproles now.
Austin is injured though. He was great last week and the week before but in case he stays injured who should I put in? Smith and Henderson?

I am going to go with Sproles for your 2nd RB. Greene is just not really impressing me that much and Bradshaw didn't really have the best of games last night against a worse opponent than he will face this week. Sproles seems to be getting looks in the passing game which really helps his value a lot. Considering the Texans-Saints game will be a shootout, I would go Sproles.

As for WR's, I would go with Steve Smith. He has emerged with Newton as the QB and I see no reason to sit him against a Jags team that is beatable against the pass.

I'd go with Sproles as your second RB as that game is going to be a shootout IMO.

As for your WR's, I'd definitely go with S.Smith and D. Henderson.
