Want to trade Hightower

Postby nkgangew » Tue Sep 20, 2011 9:08 pm

Hey guys, need some advice. Worried about Helu taking carries from Hightower. Do you think offering Hightower and Colston for Beanie Wells is a good trade, or am I giving up too much? I am planning on getting Helu off the wire this week...if I'm lucky...

I think thats way too much. If you really want Beanie I'd start by just offering Hightower straight up, see where it goes from there

He also has Anquan Boldin and Nate Burleson that I could ask from him if hightower and Colston for just Beanie Wells is too much. Again, its not that I desperately want Beanie, I'm just scared of Helu looking over Hightowers shoulder and Shannahan going RBBC.

I'll be honest, it would be much easier to help if I knew your whole roster. That being said, Hightower/Colston for Wells/Boldin is a little better. I would still start by sending Hightower straight up for Beanie. See what he asks for in return, or if he's even interested. Don't start out by overpaying. If you post your roster I'll take another look and see if I can help with some offers too

Ok, Im in a 12 team standard league.
QB Ryan
RB1 Peterson
RB 2 Jahvid Best
Flex Hightower
WR1 Larry Fitzgerald
WR2 Kenny Britt

Bench: Hines Ward, Sims-Walker, David Nelson, Colston*, and I'm putting in a waiver for Helu in place of Mohammed Massaquoi.

He has
RB 1 Gore, RB 2 Wells
WR Calvin Johnson and Anquan Boldin
Flex Brandon Marshall
Bench Nate Burleson, Brandon Gibson, Lee Evans

Alright, if he's looking to trade Beanie, I like offering Hightower/Colston for Beanie/Marshall and point out that he could have Colston back in 2 weeks (I always try to ask higher than I expect to get. I'm often surprised at other people's valuing of their own players). Another possible trade you could offer is Hightower/Colston for Gore. My concern is that he appears to be very weak at RB, and when that is the case I often find people overvalue their players. But again, this is based off my player rankings. If you prefer Boldin over Marshall, go ahead and offer Hightower/Colston for Beanie/Boldin. I think its fine value, I'm just always trying to get a little more.

Good luck!

Read through all of those and I agree that that wells/boldin for hightower/colston is a fair trade, and I would rather have wells/boldin as well. ^^put up a great explanation.
