Dynasty - Lost Charles, McCluster worth #2 waiver?

Postby MogulMatt1 » Tue Sep 20, 2011 11:35 pm

I have #2 waiver position in 12 team dynasty, .5 PPR. Start QB 2RB 3WR W/R/T, I just lost Charles but have Jones. Roster below, do I have to claim McCluster?

QB: Rodgers, Orton
RB: MJD, Jahvid Best, Fred Jackson, Thomas Jones, DJ Karim, Earnest Graham
WR: Calvin Johnson, Stevie Johnson, Dez Bryant, Mario Manningham, Nate Burleson

I think have the depth to compete without Charles, and a big time claim with top waiver position in next few weeks could put me over the top. McCluster may sit on my bench, but could also be a valuable week to week upside spot start guy which is good to have on the bench.

Thoughts?

I'd hold on to the waiver spot in a dynasty, if I were you. McCluster doesn't start for you with that roster, and down the road next year Charles comes back. Plus, short term I think TJ MAAAAY get more touches than McCluster even though he's sure to do nothing with them.

McCluster is a longshot, take a chance sort of play right now. With KC's offense, I just don't see how he helps you much honestly.

I would hold off, I think you have, as you said, enough depth at RB to compete. McCluster would likely sit on your bench and there maybe a situation down the road where you're going to be kicking yourself for taking McCluster. I do like McCluster, and I think he's going to see quite a few touches now, but I dont think you need to jump for him.

help with mine?
