0-2 Panic Roster Help!!

Postby Scriley » Wed Sep 21, 2011 11:17 am

So I'm 0-2 so far. I've picked up some decent WR's off waiver, but I really need better RB's. Anyways, I could use some advice on this week's roster. It's a 16 team, non PPR standard scoring league. I'm thinking of rolling with 1 RB and 3 WR's this week. I've looked to trade, but nobody is biting.

16 Team League/Standard Scoring/Non PPR

Starters:
QB - Josh Freeman
RB - Willis McGahee
Flex - Jeremy Maclin
WR - Andre Johnson, Roddy White
TE - Dustin Keller
Def - Cowboys

Bench
QB - Rex Grossman
RB - Ahmad Bradshaw, Mark Ingram, Johnathan Stewart
WR - Devery Henderson, Eric Decker
TE - Dallas Clark

I would roll with Bradshaw instead of McGahee personally this week. I think Denver only wins in a shootout and that doesn't bode well for Willis. Bradshaw will have a better game this week than last and if the G-men have to start airing it out to beat the Eagles (which I think they will) he's your guy. And I might think about starting Rex instead of Freeman. I know it seems crazy, but Alex-garbage-Smith looked good against that bad Dallas defensive backfield, it just feels like a good matchup for Sexy Rexy. If Vick starts I roll with Maclin at flex, if not I'd consider McGahee over him. I don't really trust WRs over RBs for flex unless you're talking a huge difference in value. McGahee seems a safer play here with all the unknowns

First off i agree start rex he is killin it right now with no signs of stoppnig and you have to remember he is a former Super Bowl QB, start Bradshaw over McGahee, im not buyin into vick this wek and if he cant go or is being attacked by Tuck all day it will slow him down, i dont see philly takin big chances with vick this week. look for the giants to pound the Rock against a young casey mathews and slow down the tempo of the game, as far as maclin get him out start henderson there will be a shoot out in New Orleans and those recievers will have a big one. as far as TE goes either one is good i would go with clark but but its a good week for both. good luck

Thanks for your input guys. I've changed my starters up a little bit:

16 Team League/Standard Scoring/Non PPR

Starters:
QB - Rex Grossman
RB - Ahmad Bradshaw
Flex - Jeremy Maclin (only if Vick starts)
WR - Andre Johnson, Roddy White
TE - Dustin Keller
Def - Cowboys

Bench
QB - Josh Freeman
RB - Mark Ingram, Willis McGahee, Johnathan Stewart
WR - Devery Henderson, Eric Decker
TE - Dallas Clark

If Vick doesn't play, I'm either going to play Decker or Devery Henderson. Any thoughts on which I should start, or should I start one of these guys over Maclin even if Vick plays?
