Vick for Andre Johnson

Postby thedarkside » Wed Sep 21, 2011 12:03 pm

Pretty much a standard scoring league, non-PPR. We start 1 QB, 2 RB's, 2 WR's, 1 TE, K , DEF

My Team (normal starters in bold)
QB - Michael Vick, Cam Newton
RB - Fred Jackson, Michael Turner, Mike Tolbert, Felix Jones
WR - Dwayne Bowe, Mike Williams, Lance Moore (if Moore was healthy I wouldn't have an issue starting him over either Bowe or Williams)
TE - Scott Chandler, Owen Daniels

Other Team
QB - Chad Henne, Josh Freeman
RB - Jahvid Best, Ben Tate, Ryan Grant, Knowshon Moreno
WR - Calvin Johnson, Andre Johnson, Julio Jones
TE - Ben Watson, Antonio Gates

I have been offered Henne, Grant, A. Johnson, and Gates
for Vick, Turner, Williams, and Chandler
Should I make this trade?

This is a tough one to figure out...

Michael Turner's production will most likely fall as the season moves forward, so it'll be wise to sell-high on him. Gates is a great TE to have with Owen Daniels. It's tough to expect much from Ryan Grant, and obviously Andre Johnson is a fantastic add to your WR crew. My only concern would be your RBs... Your RB 1 would Felix Jones, I'm assuming. Fred Jackson has been great so far, but I don't think you can expect that kind of production throughout the season (or maybe you can, who knows how the Bills will look in the future weeks).

Cam Newton isn't a bad QB to have start, either! I think it comes down to having depth in RBs versus WRs. I think your WRs (post-trade) would have more upside than your post RBs... so I'd say go with the trade.

Hope this helps. Could use some input on my situation, as well. viewtopic.php?t=498187
