Opinion on MJD Trade? WHIR

Would you give up MJD and Jerome Simpson for Hightower, Steve Johnson and Deion Branch?

Thanks! WHIR

Hard to judge the trade without knowing how your roster would change. But if you have RB depth but are weak at WR, this would be good for you. The value is certainly there. And if you're going to dangle MJD, now's the time to do it (healthy at the moment).

id do it only if both of those WRs upgrade the WRs you already start. upgrade at 2 WR positions, slight downgrade at Rb=win for you.

Like the others say, tough to let go of a stud RB, but if you're more than making up on lost ground on your WRs, you'll need to roll with it.

I would only do this if you have much better RBs than WRs. MJD is a stud RB and giving him up, even for Hightower and two quality WRs, is probably not a great idea.

I've got Roddy and Maclin as my 2 starters, plus 1 Flex, so Johnson and Branch wouldn't even both be playing most weeks. Still, it's tough because I'm not sure MJD is really a stud this year. I'm not even sure it's more likely than not he'll finish with more points than Hightower on the year, given his injury history. Then again, Hightower may be playing backup duty in 4 weeks, or at least losing significant carries. I could end up with 3 solid guys flex plays for a guy who sits out half the season, or I could end up trading a top fantasy scorer for 3 guys who ride my bench most of the year. It's tough...any more thoughts?

Id rather have MJD. Sure he might not explode every game but hes very serviceable. Besides do you really want Johnson and that groin problem hes got??

Yeah, given your roster, I'd be inclined to stick with MJD. He's solid week in and week out and has more potential for a big season than anyone you're getting in return.

I probably wouldn't. If there was a RB I felt a little better about than Hightower I'd consider it though. I'd be nervous about trading away a stud and getting back a RB in Shanahan's offense. With Helu's good week and Shanhan's unpredictability, there is just more concern. If I knew Hightower would get the same number of touches later this season as he's gotten so far, I'd consider this trade if you needed WRs and had ample RBs. But I don't trust Shanahan and that Hightower will carry the workload to the same extent all season long.

Keep MJD if you're not going to upgrade two of your starters with this trade.
