Hard to judge the trade without knowing how your roster would change. But if you have RB depth but are weak at WR, this would be good for you. The value is certainly there. And if you're going to dangle MJD, now's the time to do it (healthy at the moment).
I've got Roddy and Maclin as my 2 starters, plus 1 Flex, so Johnson and Branch wouldn't even both be playing most weeks. Still, it's tough because I'm not sure MJD is really a stud this year. I'm not even sure it's more likely than not he'll finish with more points than Hightower on the year, given his injury history. Then again, Hightower may be playing backup duty in 4 weeks, or at least losing significant carries. I could end up with 3 solid guys flex plays for a guy who sits out half the season, or I could end up trading a top fantasy scorer for 3 guys who ride my bench most of the year. It's tough...any more thoughts?
I probably wouldn't. If there was a RB I felt a little better about than Hightower I'd consider it though. I'd be nervous about trading away a stud and getting back a RB in Shanahan's offense. With Helu's good week and Shanhan's unpredictability, there is just more concern. If I knew Hightower would get the same number of touches later this season as he's gotten so far, I'd consider this trade if you needed WRs and had ample RBs. But I don't trust Shanahan and that Hightower will carry the workload to the same extent all season long. Can you help me? http://www.fantasyfootballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=498208
