I have Vick as my starting QB and Freeman as a backup. Henne is my QB3 and I dunno if I'd ever start him over Freeman or Vick.
I have Antonio Gates on my roster, but we can start a second TE in the flex. Hernandez was very good for me before going down (this is a PPR league). Do I drop Hernandez or Henne to pick up Keller or Fred Davis?
This is my starting squad this week:
QB: Mike Vick (Freeman if Vick is out) RB: Jahvid Best RB/WR: Darren Sproles RB/WR: Roddy White WR/TE: Jeremy Maclin WR/TE: Antonio Gates
Bench: David Nelson, Jordy Nelson, Ladainian Tomlinson, Reggie Bush, Mark Ingram, Aaron Hernandez, Josh Freeman, Chad Henne
12 Team $ (PPR + Return Yardage):
QB: Tom Brady, Andy Dalton RB: Charles, Lynch, Martin, Stewart, DeAngelo Williams, Rashad jennings, Joe McKnight, Leon Washington WR/TE: Antonio Brown, Brandon Lloyd, Randall Cobb, Ted Ginn K: Bryant DST: Bills
The first question is easy: Should you drop Henne? Yes, like a bad friggin' habit.
The second one is tougher. I'd be happy with Davis or Keller on my team, or even both. Whether you trade them, play them in a flex spot, or just hold onto them and see how they progress, possible top-5 TEs are always worth having on your team, especially this early in the season. If I had to pick one, I'd probably go Davis for the higher upside. We know what Keller has been able to do in that offense the last few years - not a whole lot. He definitely looks good this year, though...
I agree with RedBird in getting Fred Davis for Henne, then trading for someone better. I would try to trade Davis and Best for a top RB and pick up Keller if he's still on the waivers. It's only a matter of time before Cooley reaches full strength, so I'd do all of this within the next couple weeks or so.
Honestly though, I think Keller can be better than Davis even with Cooley all busted up. Keller is Sanchez's safety blanket, who is still trying to gain some consistency in his passing game. If I had to choose between the two, I'd pick Keller.
