Two Studs!! at QB (100%WHIR)

Postby FARAGI1989 » Wed Sep 21, 2011 3:46 pm

I am in a 12 team, non PPR, ESPN legue

QB Michael Vick
RB Steven Jackson
RB James Starks
WR/RB Mark Ingram
WR Santonio Holmes
WR Robert Meachum
TE Scott Chandler
D/ST Jets
K Sebastian Janikowski

Bench
QB Cam Newton
WR Chad Ochocinco
WR Julio Jones
WR Mike Sims-Walker
WR Early doucet
RB LaDainian Tomlinson
TE Tony Scheffler

i know some might find this question a no brainer but i need some help, Vick or Newton, Vick is comming off a concusion and going against the head hunting D line in NY, i fear he might not be his normal self, i also think the eagles wont let him do alot of runnning right now to protect their HUGE investment, . On the other hand newton has out scored Vick two weeks strait and is about to go up against a terrible Jaguars Defense. this is a dilema for me. any advise would help.

It is a bit soon to make this decision because we don't know Vick's status, but either way I'm going with Cam Newton in week 3.

I prefer Newton because he is going up against a bad Jacksonville defense, he has proven 2 games now that he can sling the ball and he will tuck and run just like Vick to get yards. I don't think I would risk playing Mike Vick coming off an injury, and a concussion at that, one hit and he might be back on the sidelines.

This is a tough call. I would rarely if ever bench Vick, but coming off a concussion might be a good reason. If the medical reports have Vick back to 100% id stay with him, but if he's questionable or whatever like he is now, i wouldnt hesitate to start Cam. Today Vick was splitting snaps with the backup but was supposedly cleared to play- i think i heard that on espn.

thanks for help on mine.

Vick if 100% healthy. If questionable, start Cam

I'd wait to hear what is going on, but either are going to get you points. They aren't going to take a gamble on Vick. He wanted to come back to the game. If we hear Vick is good to go, he's good to go, they aren't going to gamble. If they give him the go ahead, go with Vick, if not, you have a solid backup.
