Here's my present lineup. Other than QB - where I'm actually fairly satisfied - my obvious weakness is homerun wide receiver depth. Eric Decker has already been snatched in waivers. I'm not a McCluster (or Chiefs) fan. Danarius Moore seems like he could stick around on a Raiders team that really isn't all that bad.
My thoughts are that Meachem is on a team with a lot of mouths ... and Colston has to come back eventually? And Moore may start stealing additional targets as his health improves?
Am I crazy for dropping a Drew Brees target for a chance at a boom/bust? I know with my depth that I should make a trade for a decent WR2 option, but no one is biting. People are being trade shy. Boo.
QB: Ryan Fitzpatrick RB: Rashard Mendenhall RB: Chris Johnson Flex: Beanie Wells WR: Vincent Jackson WR: Dez Bryant TE: Owen Daniels D/ST: (Flavor of the week) - Cowboys K: Kasay
BE Ben Roethlisberger BE Tim Hightower BE Felix Jones BE Percy Harvin BE Robert Meachem BE Daniel Thomas
I currently have a waiver request to do that exact thing....Colston and Moore will be back soon, and that will make Meachem less valuable....might as well get Moore while you can, just in case he really is as good as everyone is predicting.
I'm not crazy about either option, but if you feel like you need to make a move, it probably won't hurt too much. It's a coin flip IMO.
12 Team $ (PPR + Return Yardage):
QB: Tom Brady, Andy Dalton RB: Charles, Lynch, Martin, Stewart, DeAngelo Williams, Rashad jennings, Joe McKnight, Leon Washington WR/TE: Antonio Brown, Brandon Lloyd, Randall Cobb, Ted Ginn K: Bryant DST: Bills
I think you gotta stay with Meachem at least until Colston is back. He has one of the top QBs in the game and hes the most talented WR in that corps. He just unfortunately splits routes with Henderson... which sux lol
Eastmont League 10-3 (2nd Seed) Wenatchee League 9-4 (2nd Seed) Urine Trouble League 6-7 (6th seed boooya!!!)
If you haven't tried already, offer up Dez and Meachem/Harvin for someone good while Colston is out. Even when Colston comes back it'll take him a few weeks to shake off all that rust, so you have some time. I don't like D. Moore long-term since O-town still have Ford and that other dude (Murphy?) yet to return. It would also be hard for Campbell to consistently repeat what he did last week too, unless he and Moore have some psychic connection, lol.
If you really wanna get a good WR try throwing in other options with Dez, some RBs since you seem to have a lot of depth there (D. Thomas or even Jones).
I like D. Nelson since Parrish is out for the season and actually picked him up on my team, so if you're really shaky on Meachem or your chances to make a trade, he wouldn't be a bad replacement.
Again, thanks for your help with mine. On to you...I would definitely consider this move. Meachem is a boom/bust on a week to week basis while Moore is going to likely boom/bust on the season. For me, I would look at it like this...Meachem is a very difficult start week to week because, as previously stated, there are so many people that Brees uses. If it turns out that Oakland is seni-for real, you have who, I beleive, will be the stand out number 1. May be a biit flimsy, but as I can respect, when things are already looking a little grim after week 2, you have to take some risks. Good luck my frirend.
Im in the same boat, As i own Dez,Vjax and Meachem as well. Austin just went down, which is a huge blow to me cause hes been an absolute beast so far.
While Meachem isnt always the sexiest play, he gets 5-7 targets a game, with a stud QB and offense. Hes caught 2 straight TD's as well. Untill the Raiders can prove there passing game is legit....id hold onto Meachem as well unless Moore goes off next week, which i doubt with Reviss n co in town.
