I played in a semi-competitive league last year with some of my former instructors and college buddies. We all enjoy football and playing FF. I took second in my league last year after running away with the points lead, I had a bad match in the finals.

Here are the league details:
Standard scoring
12 Teams

Roster as follows
QB, RB, RB, RB/WR, RB/WR/TE, WR, WR, TE, DEF/ST, K, 7 BEN

Here is my team:
QB: Stafford/Newton
RB: McFadden/Jones-Drew/Blount/Matthews/Hightower/Helu
WR: Marshall/Boldin/D.Nelson/A.Boldin/Sims-Walker/Crabtree/D.Moore
TE: J.Graham
DEF: Titans (I change it weekly)
K:Hanson

If you would so kind as to rate my team, give feedback, provide areas of weakness or just general advise about FF it would be much appreciated.

I'd go with.

QB: Newton - better match-up and he's on fire. Ride him while he's hot.
RB: McFadden - every week he plays, no question
RB: MJD - he's the only offense JAX has and decent matchip
RB/WR: Matthews - I always play extra RB when I can and it looks like Matthews is starting to get it going
RB/WR/TE: Hightower - seems to be the man in D.C. (and always play extra RB - they touch the ball more than anyone accept the QB)WR: Marshall - best WR on your roster, Henne and him look to be gellin'
TE: J.Graham
DEF: Titans (I change it weekly)
K:Hanson

Thanks for the reply. Sounds pretty good. I was debating Newton vs Stafford for a while, I'll go with Newton.
His rushing yards/TDs will be a nice bonus and he has outperformed Stafford as of late anyways.
Can you provide a little more insight into the following:

Hightower V.S. Blount
Hightower only started half the first half last week. Blount only scored one point in week one. Do
you still think Hightower will get 20+ carries? Blount is strictly a runner, but gets a lot of looks in
the redzone.

Nelson V.S. Boldin
I know, I know Boldin is a proven commodity but he plays for the Ravens who looked terrible last week.
He might produce but I have a little more faith in Nelson getting more looks.

Is my logic somewhat flawed? Should I go with the safer plays (Blount + Boldin) or the higher potential (Hightower+ Nelson)

Ah, that is the problem with setting a line-up week 3. Most of the time you have a guy who's been great one week and a dud the other.

The two scenarios Nelson V.S. Boldin/Hightower V.S. Blount are exactly that. Either direction you go, the outlook is cloudy (hey, I sound like a magic 8-ball). Sometimes you just have to follow your gut and make the call. Then pray, or at least that's my approach. But if you like risk, then you're right Hightower/Nelson could be your answer. Good luck!

Here is what I decided to roll with for week 3:
QB: Newton
RB1: McFadden
RB2: Jones-Drew
RB/WR: Matthews
Flex: Blount
WR1: Marshall
WR2: Nelson
TE: Graham
D/ST: Titans
K: Hanson

I'm hoping for a big week for Nelson, figure that the Patriots will make this a shootout and he performed last week.
Blount seems like a better bet to me this week. Hightower is a good runner but who knows with Shanahan whether or not he'll see the field much.

With the depth I have a RB, should I try to trade for another good WR? or should I stand pat in case of injury and play matchups?
