So with Charles down, I, as well as many other owners, am scrambling. I was really banking on Charles and Turner to get me a long ways. In looking at my roster, I have decided to take a huge gamble and let Brady go and ride with Cam Newton. Say what you will, but I am 0-2 and now Charles. I didnt draft well at all for depth. How the hell does one end up with two STL WR's?
My Roster: QB - Brady, Newton RB - Turner, Wells, Ingram, Spiller, Jacobs WR - Bryant, Manningham, Decker, Sims-Walker, Amendola TE - Graham
Am I completely insane to consider dealing Brady and riding with Newton? Assuming I do part ways with Brady, where do I target? Turner Wells is not bad, but I could use another solid back. At the same time, I could really use some help at wideout. Bryant and Manningham are both banged up to pile it on...how much is Brady worth at this point?
PS. You ever look at your roster and wonder what the hell happened? This does not look like my team, lol.
generally speaking.. brady is worth just about anyone you can think of. i would try for something like brady/wells for WR1/RB2. maybe a jennings/gore .. something along those lines, depending on who's available on what teams (return to what hippo said).
QB Matt Ryan WR Greg Jennings WR Stevie Johnson RB Maurice Jones-Drew RB Arian Foster TE Jason Witten W/R/T Ahmad Bradshaw BN Marcedes Lewis BN Pierre Garcon BN Joseph Addai BN Lance Moore BN Lee Evans BN Matt Cassel
QB Ben Roethlisberger WR Mike Wallace WR Nate Burleson RB Adrian Peterson RB Matt Forte TE Scott Chandler W/R/T Darren Sproles BN Kellen Winslow BN Willis McGahee BN Felix Jones BN Brandon Lloyd BN Chad Ochocinco BN Ryan Fitzpatrick
QB Tony Romo WR Calvin Johnson WR Miles Austin RB Darren McFadden RB Cedric Benson TE Vernon Davis W/R/T Brandon Marshall BN Percy Harvin BN Kevin Kolb BN Reggie Bush BN LaDainian Tomlinson BN Hines Ward BN Michael Jenkins
here's my thinking... if i've got matt ryan (or whoever you listed in those teams) i'm not going to give up a big name player for tom brady and then let matt ryan sit on the sidelines. i probably gave a decent round draft pick (6-9 or better) to get this qb and trading away one of my elite players to let him sit on the bench is silly. you're not wanting a qb in return, so you're handcuffing whoever you want to trade with. making them keep their original qb to sit on the bench and give up an elite player in the process. this doesn't scream do this trade. whatever the trade turns out to be.
maybe you should think about trading away cam newton?
or.. trading for another qb.. example: brady/bryant for romo/megatron
If possible, which I can understand why it may not be, would something like Brady/? for Fitzpatrick/Forte. I know that particular owner is big on Jimmy Graham. How could I work that?
QB Jay Cutler WR Andre Johnson WR Roddy White RB Shonn Greene RB Ryan Mathews TE Dallas Clark W/R/T Ben Tate BN Steve Smith BN Aaron Hernandez BN James Starks BN Ryan Grant BN Peyton Manning BN Daniel Thomas

Dude. I would shoot way higher than that of you were dealing Brady and Wells.
Wells is looking SOLID so far. Brady is a monster, singlehanded fantasy game difference maker.
Gore is NOT looking solid. He's getting tons of touches with VERY little to show for it. Crap o-line. Crap QB. IMO the only guy approaching Brady's value might be Ray Rice. If you are dealing Brady, it would have to be for Brady+Scrub for a Calvin or Andre + a solid solid dude like Turner, or another solid QB.
It's time to put down the crack-pipe and step away from the keyboard.
okay dude... it was a generalized statement, proceeded by me saying "generally speaking." i have no idea if jennings and gore are even on the same team. maybe you missed the part about having to see what teams own what players.
not trying to be a dick, but don't take it so literally.. it was just an example without seeing any teams.
