Michael Turner for CJ2K? Could use some help... WHIR

Postby scalqq » Thu Sep 22, 2011 10:28 am

Here's the situation. Non PPR, Standard Scoring League. I'm loaded with WRs, but weak on RB...

The trade that I'm planning to offer is as follows:

I send over Michael Turner and VJax

I receive Chris Johnson and Wes Welker.

I'm trying to sell high on Michael Turner. Does this seem like a fair trade both ways? If not, what would be a better alternative?

Here are the teams, for perspective.

My team

QB Tom Brady
RB Michael Turner
RB Fred Jackson
WR Miles Austin
WR Vincent Jackson
TE Jimmy Graham
W/R Kenny Britt
BN Percy Harvin
BN Fred Davis
BN Chad Henne
BN Jacoby Ford
BN Willis McGahee
BN Michael Bush
BN Braylon Edwards (Sent in waiver request for Nate Burleson)

Other Team

QB Drew Brees
RB Chris Johnson
RB Darren McFadden
WR Mike Williams
WR Dwayne Bowe
TE Aaron Hernandez
W/R Wes Welker
BN Kellen Winslow
BN Brandon Jacobs
BN Mark Ingram
BN Joe Flacco
BN Kevin Kolb
BN Deion Branch
BN Michael Crabtree

chris johnson is def gonna wake up eventually but wes welkers real value is in PPR
hes not very good in non-ppr

turner and vjax are good for non-ppr tho
i personally would stick with them
welker was a real bust for me in my nonppr league last year so maybe im bitter

Would Mike Williams or Bowe make for a better trade? Meaning... Turner and VJax for CJ2K and Williams/Bowe?

So essentially, the trade that would make more sense is:

Turner and VJax for CJ2K and Mike Williams?

TKS for the help

I agree with SupremeSole. Hold tight. Non-PPR, Jackson has the higher value over Welker and Turner is a durable get it done kind of guy and is the goal line threat. Turner might not break off the big 40+ yd TDs but I think ATL will be ahead a bunch and will continue to rely heavily on Turner in the fourth like last week.

I would keep your team too, Turner is a very underrated RB and could produce similar numbers to top backs in the league.

Honestly, I'd say Vjax/Turner > CJ2K/Williams.. I'm not too high on Williams or anything TB this year
