Drop Lynch or Knox for Bernard Scott or Helu? WHIR 100%

Postby ATLbraves » Fri Sep 23, 2011 12:30 am

Seattle has looked awful in the first two weeks, and they are barely giving Lynch any carries. Both games were against strong run defenses though, so things could get better for Lynch. But Seattle's offense likely won't improve any.

So should I drop Lynch for either Bernard Scott or Roy Helu? Scott is currently a FA in my league, and Helu is on the WW.

Lynch has played a couple of tough Defenses. The thing is he gets pretty much all the carries on the team other than 3rd down stuff. The guys you mentioned dont except Scott who will pretty soon when Benson is suspended. Is there anyone else you can drop other than Marshawn? I feel he will have some decent match ups to exploit

i personally would drop lynch for helu.. i think helu has a ton of upside, but their is definitely some risk there... well not a whole lot of risk, because i just dont see lynch being a factor even as in a fill in guy during bye weeks, so yea i would drop lynch for helu, helu could be nothing, but he could take over in washington and emerge as a pretty good fantasy back

if you have easier matchup, keep Lynch, even if he can't produce great number, but he should be at least bring you some number.
if having a tough matchup, it's worth gamble on Helu, as most people are think Helu has the potential to become RB1 in WAS over Hightower, and if he does become RB1, you might get few extra points from him, however, it comes with risk that if Hightower is still RB1 in WAS, then...well, you get the idea.

I'd drop him for Helu, and I'm saying this as a Hightower owner. He's going to be the main Guy in DC by midseason....and WORST case scenerio, he just splits some carries, however even that's not so bad because he is so explosive that he could break one every game. I made Helu my number one Waiver priory this week...behind Decker and Denarius Moore.

I think Lynch is your guy by a hair if you think you'll need to use him over Blount, Williams, Thomas and KM, but he isn't going to be spectacular in any way - if you think he's simply bench fodder and nothing more, why not take a chance on Helu? I think he's got the most explosive fantasy upside of the group and I'd way rather have him than Scott. I think it's pretty close between Beast Mode and Helu given your situation, but I'd probably lean to the upside knowing Marshawn isn't likely to see the "field" for your team too often, whereas if Helu gets and job in WAS (or at least leads a timeshare) he could be a weekly flex play more often than not :-?

If you were telling me to stay put on my B Scott delemma thread, then you need to do the same here. It's close though.

Considering its a bench spot, I say go for the higher upside guy in Helu.

Also, Seattle is a mess... They ate gonna battle KC and IND for west team in the league.
