Was offered Fitz/Tolbert for Forte/Gronkowksi...WHIR

Postby JMT75 » Fri Sep 23, 2011 6:32 am

PPR League...I have Rice, Forte, Best, Woodhead, and McCluster as RB's and Megatron, Manningham, Jordy Nelson, Sydney Rice, Bess, and Sims-Walker as WR's. TE's on free agent list include Gresham, Chandler, Cook, Pettigrew. What do you guys think? WHIR.

Would anyone make a counter offer with Best instead of Forte?

id honestly stay put...

Tolberts in a what seems to be every changing RBBC and Gronkowski is Bradys #1 target and set to put up ridiculous numbers,(better than Fitzgeralds)especially with Hernandez out.

Forte is a PPR stud RB, and is off to a great start.... i can see the temptation to upgrade your WR core, but Gronk is basically a WR1.

help me out:

thanks for your help on mine ...

yea, I wouldnt do it either, It seems like you'd be getting the shorter end of the stick ... stay put and grab Chandler off the wire.

best of luck!

I would not do this one.
QB (1) Brees, McNabb
RB (3) Westbrook, T Jones, LenDale White, R Rice, F Jones, Booker
WR (3) Wayne, Housh, S Holmes, Bowe, S Moss
RB and WR - 1 pt per rcpt, 1 pt per 5 rush att, 1 point per 10 yards rush or receiv
1 pt per 10 return yards.
6 pts per TD

You are better off just staying put. Tolbert has been on the better side of the running back by committee, mainly because Matthews has shown nothing, but Forte is better then Tolbert because Forte is off to a great pace so far even though he didn't a lot of carries (only 10 for 49 yards) but caught a lot of passes to offset the lack of carries (10 for 117 yards). Gronk without Hernandez will see more passes thrown his way so you are better off with him and defintely better then any of the TEs you listed that were available on the waivers the only one I would consider on waivers is Chandler but I would still rather keep Gronk.

Personally, I like Fitz a lot and would try to offer Best instead of Forte. I think Chandler would be a good pick up to replace Gron. I agree that Tolbert is in a bad situation, but its worth it for Fitz.

I would pass on this as well.

Matthews is starting to prove his worth. That doesn't bode well for Tolbert's value.

Grownkowski should continue to put up stellar numbers, especially with Hernandez out.

I like Fitz but the price is too high. Tolbert is in a time share (although will score TD). Forte is a monster in PPR and your TE option is too limited. Try for Fitz with Forte.

Thanks for the help.

Your RB depth is a little shaky without Forte so I'd stay put. Its not a TERRIBLE offer certainly fair but I'd pass.

Counter with Best+Gron for his Fitz+Chandler. Gresham would be a platoon mate if you have an extra DST your carrying.
