Maybe the AFC North could make a legit claim to this, but I think it's gotta be the NFC North, hands down. The Vikes are in freefall, the Packers are embarassed by Detroit, and Chicago is the only team playing anywhere near good, and they aint that good. Even in a watered down NFC, these teams are just plain bad right now.

are you guys kidding, yah got the cardiac bengals in the afc north along with the ravens who have gone bonkers lately....those 2 teams alone are very exciting to watch, and thier game next week should be stellar.

You could be right, but the Bengals and Ravens are on a roll, while the NFC North just looks kinda pathetic right now. Perhaps the Vikings and Packers are more dangerous than the Ravens and Bengals, but they sure aint showing their teeth right now. Maybe it is the North... early hibernation?

It has been a long time since anyone could say that the Bears were the hottest team in their division.
The NFC North/Central has always been a weak division. I can't remember the last Wild Card team from there. One team always seems to run away with it or handle the divisional lead a game a hot potato.

Actually, the NFC Central sent 3 teams to the playoffs in 2001 and had the best record of any division in the league (excluding the AFC Central, which had 6 teams, compared to 5 for everyone else).

It is the NFC North. Al the teams have looked pathetic lately. The Vikes as you said are free-falling and the packers did get embarrased. The Lions looked good but they always do on Thanksgiving, the bears are too streaky.
