Flex help - Benson, Gaffney or David Nelson - WHIR

Postby Honeybadgers » Fri Sep 23, 2011 11:05 pm

I usually put a RB in my flex but have grabbed some interesting WR prospects and am thinking of putting a WR in my flex spot this week. League is a PPR

Benson is currently my flex but thinking of putting either David Nelson or Gaffney in there.

Benson is going against a strong SF run defense and I don't have a lot of faith in him. But being a starting RB he might be the best bet.

Gaffney is the Skins 3rd option but going against a weakened Cowboy defense , although they are getting Terance Newman back this week.

David Nelson is up against the Patriots who have given up up big yards in a few shootouts this year. I think Buffalo can do the same in a high scoring game.

My other option is Lance Moore (NO), but i would rather keep him on the bench until he proves something.

Thoughts?

I love David Nelson this week... team will be down, and the Pats #1 will be guarding a gimpy #1 WR in Stevie Johnson. Nelson could explode.

Ithink Nelson has more upside than Benson. If it wasn't a ppr league, I'd say go with Benson, but since it's ppr, roll with Nelson.

Benson is going against a very tough run D this week. I would go with Nelson in a high scoring affair. Gaffeny will give you 4 points and 50 yarts but doesn't have much upside.

Help me with mine. viewtopic.php?t=499061

i say hes got medium-low risk with the way WRs have been against the pats and decently high reward

Nelson, no doubt.

Parrish is out. Johnson had a bit of an injury which might slow him down a bit. These two factors mean Nelson is going to be getting more looks than normal. That, coupled with the shootout potential of NE vs BUF means a better upside for Nelson than any of your other options.

Good luck!
