I have not watched a replay of it other than the couple they showed during the game. But watching the game I felt like the refs just called holding cause even they didnt know what happened and felt something was wrong so they called holding. It was awesome though, sucks they could not pull it off. You know they wont get away with it again.

I really hope Mike Pereira comes out with a statement or comment about this call because it is blatantly obvious that there was no hold on this play. Are there any other angles available to look at this?

Oh so you have seen it and you can tell that there is no hold anywhere? Cause when i was watching it it sure felt like the officials just thought that something was off or wrong so they threw the flag to bring it back. They didnt know what was going on but they knew it was not normal. What BS if thats what happened. They better be able to show a hold somewhere or they should get into trouble.

If you read the original post, there is actually a link posted to watch it. Dgan and WickedSmaat actually have made some good points on to what they think went wrong with it on the first page of this thread.

Pereira works for the league, very unlikely that he will come out and say that the refs blew the call. In looking at replays to find the hold, I don't see it. And furthermore, I can't help thinking that if I have to work so hard to find a hold then there should never have been a flag. I hate the the Zebras feels so empowered that they will not admit to mistakes and pick up the hanky.
Taken from a gambling angle this smells very very fishy.

Actually he's retired now and works for one of the networks giving his opinion on unusual or disputed calls.

If you look at #35 for the Broncos on about the 10 yd line from .05 - .07 seconds, and then again at 49 seconds from a different angle, it appears he started blocking his guy but then held him briefly - still pretty iffy though.

Is he retired? Never knew that. Well, I would really like someone in the league's front office to come out and say something because this is horrible. At least it wasn't worse than the officials calling that extra point in the Syracuse vs. Toledo game good, when it was clearly wide left. :-t

I'm curious how much $ that official was paid :-°
