What happened to him last night? 1 catch for 23 yards?? I hope this isn't the beginning of the end for him since Cooley seems to be back.

Any player can have a crappy game. Especially a receiving position . . . . especially a TE, . . . . especially vs a good defense . . . . especially on the road.

Look at Vincent Jackson week 1. Mendenhall weeks 1 and 3. etc.

He's still going to be a TE1 fantasy-wise most weeks.

I couldn't watch the game, but I was monitoring on the mobile apps. Cooley was targeted plenty... Davis was only thrown to a couple of times. People had been warning that when Cooley is healthy, he's going to be hurting Davis, even if Fred's the better talent. I don't know about that... but this was also a sloppy game for Rex, and we in Chicago know that Rex gets into panic mode pretty easily (looks like that's getting Cutler as well) so maybe it was a matter of which throw is easier to make at a given moment?

Was Davis on the field a lot, and simply not targeted? Was he covered heavily?

RBBC is a problem. TEBC is an abomination.

Grossman was just dumping it to his outlets b/c of heavy pressure from a Ryan coached defense.

Davis' routes take longer to develop, almost exclusively around the 23 yard range.

Davis is their best receiver in terms of hands and catch radius. He'll be fine as he's the most reliable thing Grossman has.

This 1 catch performance is more anomaly than norm. I wouldn't get worried unless it happens again.

Davis was also used to block more because they didn't really have any full back either from what I've heard. I'm confident he'll still be a #1 TE.
