Bradford & Holmes for Cam & Stewart - WHIR!!!

Postby cubanrob19 » Wed Sep 28, 2011 9:49 am

I need an upgrade in my QB position, and he could prob use an upgrade in the WR position.
My roster is in my signature, here is his roster:

QB: Romo, Newton
RB: Foster, McGahee, B.Wells, Ingram, Hardesty, B.Scott, J.Stewart
WR: VJax, Bouldin, Burlson, McCluster

What do you guys think if I offer him:
S.Holmes & S.Bradford
for
Cam Newton & J.Stewart?

Thanks in advance ... and WHIR!!!
RECORD: 1-3
QB: J.Cutler, M.Hasselbeck, T.Tebow
RB: L.McCoy, R.Mendenhall, F.Jones, L.Tomlinson, I.Redman
WR: D.Bryant, S.Holmes, Stevie Johnson, D.Nelson, N.Washington
TE: V.Davis
K: A.Henery

I really don't like the trade for 2 reasons.
1) I'm still not sold on Newton. Yes, he did have the back to back 400 yard games, but as more tape gets out on him I think teams will start getting to him. Yea, the Rams have looked horrible, but Amendola should be back soon and S-Jax should start Sunday, which should keep teams more honest then they were against St. Louis.

2) I think Holmes is the best player in the deal, and you can't really rely on Dez with his injury concerns. I think you can get a QB in Newton's range for a little less. I think Newton's value is higher right now then it should be.

I would also say that Newton is projected higher than he should be, and I wouldn't want "the daily show" when, it's really just a daily timeshare for him.

If we were still in the preseason, I would agree that Holmes is the best player in the deal ... but damn, this guy just isnt producing! Its like Sanchez has some beef and doesnt want to throw to him!

I do agree that Bradford will produce better numbers once Amendola and SJax are back in the lineup.

And I guess we will just have to see about Cam in the weeks to come!

If I was the other player...I'd pull the trigger on that deal pretty quick.

I'm all about selling high on newton...while that may not be technically high I think bradford will begin to produce better and cam will come down to earth

Interesting to see this topic ... I almost had a Bradford/Holmes for Newton deal go through (I get Newton). But the guy bailed when his QB1 (Vick) got hurt this Sunday.

I say "yes" to the deal. I think we saw Newton's floor this Sunday. And it still looked pretty good to me! Bradford is pretty marginal at this moment in fantasy value. And yeah, Stewart's in a time-share. But he's looking good, and we know what happens to his value if DWill doesn't play. I like Holmes ok ... drafted him in all my leagues (loved his ADP this year). But to give him up for Newton seems perfectly fair.

I'm not sure if I would go all out on Newton and depend upon him. He is a rookie, yes he had two monster games, but once defenses figure him out he will struggle and his numbers will go down. I think that I would look at other options if you have them available. Good luck.

thanks for help with mine yes if i was also the other player i would take that deal however i like stewart could be some hidden value there, never been a big fan of santonio and i think this is the low well see from bradford this year one thing tho yea dez is going to be injured aton he made of glass thus his ceiling is wayyy lower when he is injured so be warry

I like the trade for you b/c your getting the better QB, with the higher ceiling, and a potential steal in Stewart over Holmes who just doesn't seem to be targeted for whatever reason.
