Henderson or Marshall AND Mendenhall or Hightower?

Postby johnnydierk » Wed Sep 28, 2011 5:06 pm

Standard 10 team league.
Here are my options:

RB:
LeSean McCoy PHI vs SF
Matt Forte CHI vs CAR
Rashard Mendenhall PIT @HOU
Tim Hightower WAS @STL

WR:
Mike Wallace PIT @ HOU
Brandon Marshall MIA @ SD
Devery Henderson NO @ JAC
Torrey Smith BAL vs NYJ

Lineup:
RB1: LeSean McCoy
RB2: Matt Forte
WR1: Mike Wallace
WR2: ???
W/R: ???

RB issue: Mendenhall either has a great game or a pitiful game, while I watch Hightower put up moderate consistent numbers – plus he’s playing the worst rush defense in the league this week.

WR issue: Through week 3, Henderson has put up two to three more points than Marshall every week.

Thank you for your input.

I would take a shot with Hightower. Houston isn't known for it's defense, but their front 7 are tough Pitt is struggling with teams right now. For your other receiver, you should go with Lloyd. He is due to have a good game. This could be it.

Good question. My crazy eyes must have read Brandon Lloyd instead of Marshall. My bad.

I dont think Hendersons in the same league as Marshall to warrant his playing over him-- especially with the threat of a colston return this week. Marshalls getting the targets all over the field and in the endzone, its just Henne whos crapping it up on the delivery (in the RZ). They'll be throwing against SD whereas NO will likely have more of a ground presence against JAX.

I would take Hightower until Mendenhall shows me anything. Hightower has Shanahans trust and is given the carries regardless of the YPC. Since he blocks and does all the little things right, coaches love him and want him on the field. Mendenhall has looked pretty mediocre thus far and has conceded a few carries to Redman here and there. I do think Mendenhall will recover but Hightowers a lot safer play.

If you can help

Gotta agree, Marshall & Hightower.

Thing with Mendenhall is that o-line sucks right now... can run if no one is blocking.
