Eli Manning is predicted to have a huge week over a weak Arizona secondary. Rivers is expected to have a breakout game at some point (his numbers have been pedestrian so far), and this week he takes on Miami at home. Weak against the pass, but Rivers always seems to struggle against the AFC East, especially early. Would you take that chance?? Rivers scored a whopping 6 (!) points for me last week as he played through injury, and I still somehow won.
I had some top-tier receivers on the waiver wire due to my league dropping them after early injuries, so I jumped due to their upside (Manningham and Colston). I dropped D. Nelson and E. Decker to get them, just figured they'd be better long-term.
QB: Eli Manning, Philip Rivers
RB: Jahvid Best, Willis McGahee, Mike Tolbert
WR: Marques Colston, Vincent Jackson, Jordy Nelson, Mario Manningham
TE: Rob Gronkowski, Jason Witten
W/R: Darren Sproles
K: Steven Gostkowski
D: Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, everyone!
