originally Manningham.... but after getting a concussion early, and the giants struggling to get the passing game going, Nelson may be the better pickup in a PPR league.
u cant go wrong either way.... IMO Manningham has homerun upside each game, but can also give u nothing. Neslon may be a consistent source of 5-70 a game with TD upside.
exactly, the PPR element makes this a hard decision. From what I read, the slot receiver in Chan Gailey's offense gets targeted alot but Fitzpatrick started off hot last year too and then cooled down. Nelson has been targeted more and caught more balls per game than Manningham. Some of this can be attributed to Eli Manning's poor play in the first 2 weeks. We all saw what the guy opposite Nicks can do (see Victor Cruz week 3). Those could have easily been Manningham's stat line if he had played. I don't think the concussion is anything to worry about. Suffering one concussion does not make you more susceptible to suffering another one.
I have an offer for Manningham for Jacobs right now that I can accept and I am pretty sure I can get D. Nelson as well.
Who would you rather have in a PPR for the rest of the year?
12-team PPR QB: Cam Newton, Andrew Luck RB: Lesean McCoy, Darren Sproles, Marcel Reece, James Starks WR: Percy Harvin, Julio Jones, Eric Decker, Randall Cobb TE: Aaron Hernandez, Brandon Meyers D/ST: Rams (streaming) K: Matt Bryant

How long can we wait for Manninghams 'potential' to finally turn into actual production.
I get what you are saying but he did finish last season very strong averaging over 100+ yds a game for the last 3 games with a TD in each. I just don't know if Fitz can keep it up

this is such a hard decision. So you expect Fitzpatrick to keep this up?
My thought process is Manningham should be on the field more than Nelson and with Nicks drawing all the attention, and Steve Smith and Boss shipped away, Manningham is setup. Manning mostly throws to his #1 and #2 receivers.
Nelson plays the slot in Chan Gailey's spread offense so he will see plenty of targets. Seems like Fitz spreads the ball around. Stevie and Chandler are getting all the TD goodness.
You could make an argument for both
