Trade Welker for M.Jones-Drew & P.Hillis?

Postby CannonDub » Thu Sep 29, 2011 6:52 pm

I am a first-year fantasy player and In eed some input on a trade offer that was made to me. Figured this was the best thread to get some.

I am off to a 3-0 start despite taking some serious hits due to injuries (Jamaal Charles is done, Jacoby Ford has yet to start, Miles Austin is out)thanks to Welker's heroics. Not surprisingly, he has a very high trade value right now in my 12 team league.

I am being offered a very nice trade for Welker. Maurice Jones-Drew and Peyton Hillis for him...is it a good move given how thin I am at the WR spot?

No not for that. Unless you can trade Hillis to someone for a WR. I mean MJD and Hillis are enough value for sure, its just not what you need. I would counter with MJD and S Johnson. If you can get that take it and run. Welker for MJD/S Johnson.

That is pretty good value in return for Welker. I think you might have to take that deal and run with it, even if you think you're a bit thin at WR. Taking a look at your roster, I actually think this helps a lot since you can start 3 RBs (1 at the flex spot). Starting Hillis, McFadden, and MJD should help you stay competitive until Austin gets back.

Great trade for you.

Try to trade Grant or Mcgahee for a usable WR until Austin is back.
