Smart Trading McCoy and Schaub?

Postby RexRules » Thu Sep 29, 2011 8:22 pm

Hope I made the right call here.

I got
Vick & Jones-Drew
Gave up
L.McCoy & Schaub

I don't see the touchdown rate keeping up for McCoy so I pulled the trigger on this one. Leaves my roster like this. Start 2QB's, 3RB, 3WR, TE, K, DEF (10 team league) Standard scoring except all tds worth six

QB- Brady, Vick, Freeman, Ponder
RB- Jones-Drew, Forte, Fred Jackson, Daniel Thomas, Helu, McCluster
WR- Marshall, AJ Green, Julio Jones, Harvin, Ward, Torrey Smith
TE- Hernandez, Fred Davis
K- Hanson
DEF- Best Matchup available

Ponder is only there because Vick and Brady have the same BYE week. Hoping Vikes get tired of Donovan by then. Because we start 2 QBS no starters are available.

I like the deal myself, though I love McCoy this year. I think the upgrade to Vick in a 2 qb league outweighs the drop off at RB.

You are taking a risk. McCoy has been as consistent as consistent can be. MJD is on a horrible team where defenses can focus just on him. Same cannot be said about Shady. Defenses need to focus on Vick, Maclin, Jackson, Shady, get the point.

Then with Vick, I consider him a slight upgrade over Schaub, but with the concussion and bone bruise and whatnot, who knows how long he can stay healthy this year.

I personally would not have done it, but it's a decently even trade with some risk for the Vick/MJD side.
