Brock Forsey in Chicago??

Postby senseiosin » Tue Dec 02, 2003 7:49 pm

Whats up with this dude, is he the new starter or was he just a one week replacement for A-Train?? Anyone in Chi-town know the dilliyo

If he is starting? If so I would pick him up off of waivers.
The only thing we have to fear is.... another injured Denver RB!!!!!!!!

He won't be starting this week. Thomas had pnemonia or something like that. I am not suer exactly what he had but I am pretty sure that Forsey will be on the bench this week.

I think he'll play also but here's a little snipet from the Chicago Tribune.Something to keep an eye on.

David Haugh, Chigago Tribune - RB Anthony Thomas remains the starter when he returns from his bout with viral pneumonia. Will he return in time to face the Packers? "Our people feel like they caught it early and treated it conservatively, there's a good chance he'll be back," coach Dick Jauron said. "We'll see how his strength is." Thomas was sixth in the NFC in rushing with 721 yards heading into Sunday's game.

In that case I may pick up Forsey for the playoffs.

Start Forsey and Stewart. The guys are money!

Really I see no viable starts for Chicago this week. A-Train was the only Bear worth a start this year, and now... well, it don't look good for this week. Hopefully Forsey can eat some pine so all of us holding the Train can at least think about using him for the playoffs.

Forsey will be a force in the NFL. But I don't know about this year. For those that don't know, he's a Boise State product. I'm live in Boise and went to BSU, so there's a lot of hometown pride, but he will be good in the future. All the records he broke in college were Marshall Faulk's WAC records, so he's no slouch.

That said, he as on the radio here today interviewing with the local sports talk show. He will most likely play next week, but will NOT be the starter unless A-train has a setback this week.

I got to see Forsy live last Sunday and he looked good in all phases, but A-Train has not lost his job. Maybe next year?

We didn't forget about Peterson, daBears said forget Peterson! The thing to remember is that A Train hasn't scored away from home and I think most of his yards come at home. Ccnversely the Pack haven't been shutting down RBs lately. I would think that Thomas will see the bulk of the action if he recovers his strength soon enough.

As conservative as the Bears have been offensively, I have heard on the coach's show that they are looking at ways to get them both in the backfield on the same play.

Now that would be interesting, but would absolutely suck from a FF standpoint.
