He said no to Stafford. Someone that he wants to see playout the year for him.
Shady to Mendy would definitely be a downgrade, but he can't stay as bad as he's been this year, right? If he were to get "decent", that would put the trade in my favor since Cam has outscored Big Ben by double in my league.
I tend to be a bit risky when it comes to making trades and go with my gut (which works out a lot of the time for me....I just traded Andre Johnson right before he got hurt). I would shop around and see if you can get a more proven QB but if you can't I would go through with that trade.
Tebow Rushes 4 Your Sins 2QB, 2RB, 3WR, 1RB/WR, 2TE, 1D/ST, 1K QB: Ryan, Tebow RB: Forte, Murray, MJD, Spillier (RB/WR), Saine WR: Wallace, V Jax, Lloyd, Julio Jones, Knox, Tate TE: Gonzalez, Celek D/ST: Texans, Bears, Seahawks K: Crosby
That's a tough call. I'm just as eager as you to get rid of Ben. And I like Cam Newton as an upgrade. The problem to me here, is Mendenhall. The Pitt O-line is downright crappy. Plus he has a banged up hamstring. He will get some goal line carries, but I think he's in for a tough year. Just my opinion. I'd pass and keep McCoy.
I actually don't think I would go through with the trade. Newton has been a BEAST so far this year, but I think he regresses once D-coordinators get enough film on him and adjust. I think he ends up being a borderline top-10 QB, so I think that you can get a little more value out of McCoy. I actually think that in the long run that Mendenhall will end up producing, just not near the same level as McCoy. I would keep shopping McCoy for a QB, try to get a little better offer. Thanks for the help on mine.
Yeah I would do it too. Something is wrong with the Steelers. Ben, Mendy, they all are playing like crap. Oh... I almost forgot the O line.. Now Harrison with a broken eye socket..
