Vernon Davis for Romo Offer Help! WHIR 100%

Was offered Vernon Davis for Romo straight up.
I personally don't like the deal, b/c I'm losing my back up qb(he's my safety net if Stafford goes down). But I do upgrade at Te with Vernon Davis
I'm 4-0
He's 2-2
1.Should I counter? If so, with what?
2. Stay Put and get Greshan from WW
3. Do the trade and pick up Hassleback as my back up

You should be able to get a better Tight End for Romo, I for one would not accept that deal. Get Gresham or trade for a better TE, or try to get Wells and trade Wells for a top TE. Not that Davis isn't good, its just that I think you can get better value for Romo

I like the idea of trading a QB for a TE. But I have the same impression as you - this doesn't feel like you're getting good value for Romo. Look around the league and see what others who are hurting at QB have at TE. Or you could try to get more value in a Romo/Davis deal. You need to upgrade a starter ... and your starters look pretty rock solid (except for Clark). Here's something crazy ... why not see if you can make a play for Andre Johnson. It's a gamble that he's out for 3 weeks and comes back 100%. But man ... would you be loaded for the stretch run! Something like Romo/Boldin for AJ/Davis.

Alternatively, pick up Gresham (dropping McMichael).

I'd just grab Gresham and stick tight for now.
