Postby Garrett Fouth » Tue Oct 04, 2011 11:44 pm

I've been offered cam newton for ryan mathews. is this a good trade?

i drafted peyton so i'm stuck at qb with kolb and bradford.

other rbs = mccoy, forte, spiller
wrs = white, welker, colston, washington, burress, crabtree

IMO, I would take it based on your team...

Kolb is ehh at best. While Bradford is just downright doing bad this season.
The only reason I say to do the trade is because McCoy and Forte really are your best RB's that you have. Mathews is good but those two are better. Spiller not so much, as FJAX gets most of the touches now. But weighing the options of your QB situation, take it.

help on mine?:
so pro.

Given you have McCoy and Forte, you are not going to be short at RB. I say do it. Cam Newton is a must start top 5 QB. you will be gold with Cam, McCoy and Forte.

Personally, I wouldn't give you Newton so you would suffer for a few more weeks under the Peyton Manning cloud.

I'm assuming you play a 2/2/flex format. You have solid top 2 rbs but after that its a bit sketchy. with mathews you have a solid top 3 which covers you for bye's and gets you a great flex every week.. You also have solid wr depth though so, I think this makes sense, you'll just be starting spiller on bye weeks (eek!)

I do, however, think Bradford will come around, they're getting healthier and Amendola should be back sooner rather then later. That will be a huge addition. SJax getting back to full health will help as well to aleviate pressure on Bradford. Kolb is more then capable and he does have Fitz to throw to. AAAALL that being said, I like Cam over both of them, so I think I'd do that trade and try to get someone other then Spiller to fill in on bye weeks, you can use your WR depth to fill in flex for a few weeks.
