Drop Dallas Clark?

Postby Balcatim » Wed Oct 05, 2011 12:20 am

10 Team League (QB/2 RB/FLEX/2 WR/TE/K/D)
Standard ESPN H2H Scoring, 1 Keeper
QB: Matt Ryan, Josh Freeman
RB: Michael Turner, Darren Sproles, Shonn Green, Mike Tolbert, Cedric Benson, Stevan Ridley, Jamaal Charles[IR]
WR: Roddy White, Mike Wallace, Eric Decker, Nate Washington
TE: Dallas Clark
K: David Akers
DEF: Matchups

Obviously, without Peyton Manning Clark hasn't been doing much. I'm thinking of dropping Clark to pick up Greg Olsen. I'm hesitant only because Clark is obviously an elite TE but without Manning he's looked pretty average. Would you drop clark to grab Olsen, drop someone else for Olsen (and who would you drop), or should I stick.

Also, I think that all of my RBs are above average but DeAngelo Williams is on the WW. Who should I drop for him or should I stick?

I would probably drop Dallas Clark for Olsen, but I feel your pain completely.... D. Clark is on the WW in my 10 team league and Olsen is owned if that matters as well... please help

I hold onto Clark for one more week- here's why

Painter looked good on monday, and now they're playing the Chiefs at Home, and they're pissed

The chiefs made Scott Chandler look like a stud with 70 something yards and 2 TDs, since then Chandler hasn't passed the 20 yard mark. they also let Shiancoe score this past week

This is a really good matchup for Clark who certainly possesses the skill set to put up big numbers this week.

If he doesn't do anything here, then he never will and you and everybody else should feel free to drop him...

but you gotta give the man one last shot considering the talent he possesses...
10 team standard- passing TD's = 6pts

I agree with Tugz. Give Clark one more week, if he doesnt produce then you can safely drop him.

+1

I agree with everything above. Also a Clark owner, but managed to get Gronk in trade. I'm concidering dropping him as well, but I do think he holds value and Painter didnt look terrible and he only had one full week as the #1. Give him another week, KC cant rush the passer so Clark wont be needed to block, and he was targetted quite a bit. If he does nothing again, then I don't think he'll get any better over the year, and Olsen is definelty getting looks from Cam.
