Should I finally pull the trigger on Cam Newton........

Postby GoDeacs » Wed Oct 05, 2011 8:20 am

...and start him over Matthew Stafford this week?

Cam v. NO's D
Stafford v. Chicago's D

I'm really torn -- Any advice would be truly appreciated!

Thanks

Yea, I think I would go with Cam this week based on the match ups ... the Panthers are going to have to play catch up all game, and the Saints defense has shown that it can be thrown on.

Best of Luck!

Help a brotha out …

I think you would be safe playin Newton this week. Stafford is doing really well, but he hasnt played any team with a strong secondary...1st week was TB (Who let Curtis Painter put up 250 yards and 2Tds!) 2nd week was KC (Without Eric Berry, and their whole team is garbage) 3rd week was MIN (we all know how much MIN is having trouble on both sides of the ball) and last week was Dal (Whose is probably the best secondary they have faced, but still IMO not that difficult...) Chicago is going to be a tough test for Stafford as it is division game and their defense is pretty decent....they held the packers to only 27 points!

Cam Newton has played some pretty decent secondaries in Green Bay (posted 432 yards and 2 TDs) and Chicago with 374 and 2 TDS...As much as I hate to admit I was wrong, I think this kid is the real deal!

Definitely play Cam! Monster arm and a viable run threat as well.
