Should I trade for a WR?

Postby dayblade89 » Wed Oct 05, 2011 4:10 pm

Standard 10 team Yahoo league

QB's - M. Vick/M. Stafford
WR's - A.J. Green/E. Decker/D. Bryant/D. Moore
RB - M. Turner/M. Forte/A. Bradshaw/C. Benson/W. McGahee/S. Ridley/R. Torain
TE - T. Gonzalez
K - A. Henery/D. Bailey
Def - Houston/Baltimore

I was thinking about trading away one of my running backs for a better WR any thoughts appreciated.

I'd say it's a good idea. You are pretty deep at RB. I wouldn't trade away one of your top backs though, looking for a #1 WR unless someone is really desperate. I'd definitely look to sell high on Mcgahee and maybe even Benson. I don't see Benson maintaining this pace and you might get a pretty decent #1/2 WR for him.

I think I would try to trade McGahee for a decent WR, don't think Benson's value is currently that appealing to potential buyers due to his impending suspension (whenever that will end up happening). Also I don't think that you should be carrying 2 kickers, drop 1 to pick up help somewhere else. Usually I would say don't keep 2 defenses either, but considering Baltimore is top-notch and on a bye I can see having 2 for that case.

I'd try and trade for a WR. You have lots of RB's, need some help at wideout. See what you can get for McGahee, Benson's value isn't all that high right now. Trading either of those two wouldn't hurt your team at all since you would still have three solid RB's.
