We obviously had more deaths, but that doesn't mean we did it by ourselves by any means.

agree with dazey on this one.........mostly 90 percent americans.....the french really helped in the end by breaking up the supply lines with there navy....but for the most part American blood was spilled......

The point is, he wasn't talking about whose blood was spilled. He said that we declared our freedom on our own, with no help. And that's totally wrong. We got French help, Spanish help, German help, and even Polish help.
